MEET THE PASTOR
Dave Rogalsky began as the youth pastor of Grace Mennonite Church in Winkler, Manitoba in 1983. After serving that ‘little congregation’ within the larger congregation for 5 ˝ years he moved on to Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Elkhart, Indiana. This rounded out his education which includes bachelor degrees from Mennonite Brethren Bible College (now part of Canadian Mennonite University) and the University of Winnipeg. At MBBC he completed an internship at Snow Lake Mennonite Fellowship, 700 kms north of Winnipeg and while at AMBS he was an intern at the Leamington United Mennonite Church on the shore of Lake Erie in Ontario.
After seminary Dave served the Poole (Ont.) Mennonite Church for 9˝ years before moving to Waterloo to the Waterloo-Kitchener United Mennonite Church for 6 ˝ years. At the end of that pastorate Dave studied the church in postmodern culture for six months, trying to understand how the good news of God can be communicated in this new time. Interim pastorates at Hanover (Ont.) Mennonite Church, and the East Zorra (Ont.) Mennonite Church followed. He began as pastor of the Wilmot Mennonite Church on October 1, 2008.
Important to Dave’s ministry is finding ways to help people to grow in relationship with God. “God is always nearer to us than we can comprehend, desiring to be in a relationship of love and respect with us,” describes how he senses God at work in the universe.
Dave is married to Annemarie, they have two children, a son-in-law and a soon-to-be daughter-in-law.
