Pastors Past and Present:

Glynn Jones

Glyn Jones accepted a temporary assignment for an 11 month period commencing in October 1992. In February 1993, the church extended a call to serve as a full time pastor. Glyn's pastorate was notable for his exceptional youth ministry and a Youth Mentor program. Glyn terminated his ministry at Wilmot in June 2003, to accept a mission?s assignment in Botswana. On April 6, 2008, Wilmot signed a Mennonite Church Canada Witness Partners Covenant with Glyn and Susan Allison-Jones. Previous to being at Wilmot Glyn worked with Inter Varsity Christian Fellowship in high school ministry, served in Egypt with Mennonite Central Committee and was one of the Youth Ministers for Mennonite Church of Eastern Canada. Rene Sauder served as Intentional Interim Pastor for a year after Glyn concluded his ministry.

Gary Horst

Gary Horst served as pastor at Wilmot from September 2005 to July 2008. He previously pastored at Avon Mennonite Church in Stratford and Zion Mennonite Fellowship in Elmira. While Gary was called by the congregation in the typical way, sometime before his calling he stopped in the Wilmot parking lot to wait out a storm and heard God saying he would be pastor of this church someday. Gary is a founding and active member of Revs On Ice (an all-ministers hockey team). He enjoys biking, theatre, and reading. As his position at Wilmot was 80 percent full-time, he also drove Mobility Bus for the City of Stratford.

Dave Rogalsky

Dave Rogalsky served as Pastor from November 2008 to August 2016. He began his journey in ministry as the youth pastor of Grace Mennonite Church in Winkler, Manitoba. After attending Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary, he served as Pastor of Poole Mennonite Church and Waterloo-Kitchener United Mennonite Church. He then served as interim pastor at Hanover Mennonite Church and East Zorra Mennonite Church. Important to Dave?s ministry is finding ways to help people to grow in relationship with God. God is always nearer to us than we can comprehend, desiring to be in a relationship of love and respect with us, describes how he senses God at work in the universe.

Susan Allison-Jones

Our current Pastor

Susan has experienced many places of ministry and is thrilled to have landed at Wilmot as our pastor. Following God, has taken her to Manitoba, Chicago, Egypt, Botswana and several locations here in Southern Ontario. She loves walking along side people of other faiths – both Christian and other faith groups. Connecting with people of all ages from the youngest baby to the oldest adult keeps her rejuvenated and aware of God’s presence in our lives at every life stage. Wherever she has been, whatever she has done, her focus is always on building significant relationships with people. There is nothing better in life than sitting across a table from a good friend sharing a pot of tea!
Susan is married to Glyn Jones and has two amazing young adult daughters, Maeyken and Adriaena and one very devoted dog named Ella.
